Aylin mountaineer
I used the stones which Tafa had brought from Aconcagua. I embedded the peak stone in transparent acrylic.
I tied them with 24-carat gold threads on a leather band.
This was for my mountaineer friend who reached the peak at Acon but whose photos were lost.

It was wrapped with 24-carat gold. The special figure on the back was made with a diamond cutter.
During smoothing the iron, I happened to learn that despite wearing a mask, my mouth and nose were filled with iron dust; exactly like soot.

When I was about to go to the Himalayas for a climb, my dear friend Serap gave me her son's umbilical cord and asked me to bury it in a suitable place. At the peak of Mount Kalapattar, at the height of 5545metres, I dug a small hole to bury it. The magnificent scenery was overlooking the roof of the world..
The moment I hit the ground with my axe, a tiny stone bounced off the surface. It was as if the mountain was giving me something in return for what I was doing. I took the stone. Now, it is inside Serap's necklace. In a gold cage.
